Building a Website for a Global Market

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

As we all know the internet is the connection piece to the world. It helps up with nearly every decision in our lives. What movie to see. What pizza place to order from. And the list goes on and on. When you think of the potential of who may see your website and how it will be viewed by the masses. You must begin to think about where to start. Now most people would think well I am in Spain and most of the people I want to reach are in Germany. They know I am in Spain so I will create my page in Spanish. This would be a thought that could destroy a page before it even began. So then Tim I should build it in German? No! You should not do that either. Let us think of this at a professional stand point. The English speaking market accounts for over 1/3 of the world’s purchasing power. 1/3! I don’t know about you, but that sounds amazing to me. I want a piece of that pie. Now with that being said to enter a global market you will at some point need translation. I know some of you out there can read and write in 10 maybe 15 languages. I am not talking to you. We are not all brilliant on that level. For the rest of us ordinaries who speak maybe 1-3 languages. This is for us. When it comes to translation the most common language to translate from is English. It is spoken around the world. Most linguist second language is English. So Tim what does that mean for me I am in Spain. I do not speak English well enough to write my website in English. Well that’s OK. Who said you had too? Translation services are out there in the masses. If you can’t write in English then don’t. The best thing to do is to write it in Spanish but do so as a second language not as the primary. This is why. When a translator goes in and writes your page out in English and Spanish is set to your primary. It is not going to leave the lines needed for translation in English. They will be in Spanish. Now it is possible to translate from Spanish to German or vice-versa. It will only cost you more money. Now to translate from English to any language. Will always be your cheapest translation cost per word.

In order to get the most out of your global website. At some point you will need translation. We at GoGTL. Would love to help you. We can work with you on any language choice you may have. 1. What you published was actually very logical. However, think about this, what if you added
a little content? I am not saying your content is not solid.,
however suppose you added something to maybe get people’s attention? I
mean Building a Website for a Global Market – GoGtl is a little boring.
You could peek at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create post titles to get viewers to click.
You might add a related video or a picture or two to
grab readers excited about everything’ve got to say.
In my opinion, it could make your blog a little bit more interesting.
